Consultant—Contract

McREL International seeks contract consultants to join our growing team. Contractors work on a project basis with McREL staff. These roles are initially project-based and part-time but could lead to full-time opportunities. Our ideal consultant for this role would live in California, Georgia, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas or Missouri.

A consultant may provide support and assistance in the following areas:

  • Professional development, strategy, technical assistance, and coaching
  • Proposal writing, report writing, and project communication
  • Project management, including timelines, meeting budget, and implementing and overseeing project plans

We are seeking individuals with experience in:

  • Professional development
  • Leadership coaching
  • Strategy/goal setting

As well as:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. preferred

Contract Consultant—North Central Comprehensive Center State Liaison

McREL International seeks a contract consultant to join the North Central Comprehensive Center (NCCC) team to work on a project basis with McREL staff. This role is initially project-based and part-time but could lead to full-time opportunities. Our ideal consultant for this role would live in South Dakota preferably near Pierre.

The consultant will provide technical assistance in the following areas: 

  • Designing and facilitating productive meetings
  • Preparing materials to be used in professional development and technical assistance activities
  • Performing project management activities, including timelines, meeting budget, overseeing project plans, implementing and documenting project activities
  • Building productive relationships with project stakeholders
  • Working as a team member to help clients achieve project goals 

We are seeking individuals with experience in: 

  • Strategy/goal setting
  • Providing technical assistance and consultations to state education agencies, school districts, or schools in implementing programs for improvement
  • Compiling literature reviews
  • Providing professional development
  • School administration and/or teaching experience
  • Serving as a change agent 

As well as: 

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in educational administration, elementary or secondary education, or a related field with at least seven years’ experience with an education agency
